Hey, welcome to Leeds Padel Society, we are going into our fifth year as a society here in Leeds and it's our biggest and best yet! We will be training at the largest UK Northern padel club this year which boasts 12 state-of-the-art indoor padel courts at Slazenger Padel Club Leeds. We have regular weekly sessions which are welcome to all abilities where we will have match play, games and socialise with fellow padel members - all equipment included! Alongside weekly sessions, there will be team training sessions as we will be competing for a third time in the National University Padel League.
We have weekly Wednesday socials which vary from house parties, pub crawls, themed events, typically ending up at the infamous Mischief. Everyone is welcome to join the society regardless of ability or experience, our members range from complete beginners to experienced players so come join us for the good vibes! How Leeds Padel was started
In 2022, four legends discovered and fell in love with pádel on a Year Abroad in Madrid. They decided to continue their enjoyment of the easy-to-learn sport once they had returned to Leeds, creating the first pádel society in the UK.
Padel is a sociable, fun, and engaging sport that is growing every day and you can become part of the padel revolution amongst students. Last year 580 members became part of our family and we're hoping to attract new members to the padel family to further encourage the growth of the sport itself in the UK.
We are proud to be the first UK Padel society, and are excited by the prospect of its growth and to have the opportunity to engage and compete with other universities and new societies.
