Hey, welcome to Leeds Padel Society, we are going into our fourth year as a society here in Leeds and it's our biggest and best yet! We will be training at the largest UK Northern padel club this year which boasts 12 state-of-the-art indoor padel courts at Slazenger Padel Club Leeds. We have regular weekly sessions which are welcome to all abilities where we will have match play, games and socialise with fellow padel members - all equipment included! Alongside weekly sessions, there will be team training sessions as we will be competing for a second time in the National University Padel League. This year, we are opening up slots for our regular members to be trained by a pro coach as well! We have weekly socials which vary from activities to pub quizzes, pub crawls, nights out any day of the week and the infamous Mischief. Everyone is welcome to join the society regardless of ability or experience, our members range from complete beginners to experienced players so come join us for the good vibes! How Leeds Padel was started
In 2022, four legends discovered and fell in love with pádel on a Year Abroad in Madrid. They decided to continue their enjoyment of the easy-to-learn sport once they had returned to Leeds, creating the first pádel society in the UK.Â
Padel is a sociable, fun, and engaging sport that is growing everyday and you can become part of the padel revolution amongst students. Last year 270+ members became part of our family and we're hoping to attract new members to the padel family to further encourage the growth of the sport itself in the UK.
We are proud to be the first UK society, and are excited by the prospect of its growth and to have the opportunity to engage and compete with other universities and new societies.Â
