We are an already established student society that is a wing of the political organisation - the Socialist Workers Party.

We already have weekly meetings that pull around thirty students each week as well as working with other societies on campus - whether that be in the Palestine movement, building a fight back against the rise in racism through a 'Women Against the Far-Right' campaign

Becoming a registered society on the University of Leeds campus would allow us to have access to things such as room bookings, spaces at freshers fairs, as well as platforms such as Engage that would help us organise membership, events, etc.

With access to room bookings we can continue to host these meetings that are clearly attractive to students on campus for a more affordable price, due to being fully funded by ourselves. 

The opportunity to have spaces at the freshers fairs would enable us to continue to find students who would be interested in our politics and activity. With already getting so many to our weekly meetings, we want to be able to be a clear presence on campus for students looking for a society to get involved in politics. 

Access to platforms such as Engage would help us to organise the increases we see in membership to the society with our weekly meetings, and, as busy students, more easily organise the meetings and events that we put on.
