Formation Description
AIESEC in Leeds aims to establish itself as an official university-affiliated society to better connect with students in the West Yorkshire area. While we are already part of AIESEC UK, this affiliation will enhance our credibility, strengthen our campus presence, and allow us to engage more effectively with the student community.
Across the UK, AIESEC has already been successfully established and affiliated with universities in cities such as Edinburgh and Manchester, demonstrating the value and impact of this alignment. AIESEC UK currently is affiliated with: KCL, UCL, LSE, ICL, University of Edinburgh, University of Aberdeen, University of Cardiff, University of Manchester, University of Nottingham, University of Glasgow, University of Warwick and is currently in formation at University of Bristol as well. By following their example, we aim to create a similar platform at the University of Leeds, enabling students to access unique opportunities that promote leadership development, cultural exchange, and global impact.
As AIESEC , we will offer benefits such as international volunteering and internship programs, leadership roles, and professional development workshops. Students will also gain the chance to collaborate on impactful projects aligned with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, build a global network, and acquire skills that enhance their personal and professional growth.
By affiliating with the university, we can position AIESEC in Leeds as a hub for globally-minded, proactive individuals ready to make a positive impact locally and internationally. It can also greatly widen our exposure and let more students know about us. LUU also has so many great societies that we would love to partner with to create a better university experience for students and create an impact in society.
