Formation Description
Due to the course’s relatively small size and modules being mixed with other subjects, materials scientists at the university have struggled to get to know one another. A subject society would overcome this by launching a platform for gathering, networking, and sharing knowledge - fostering a university-wide sense of community that the course lacks. Additionally, the society will provide a laidback and safe environment for students on this intense course to relax and take some time away from studies, ensuring that students’ wellbeing is prioritised.
