Tynemouth is the perfect spot for a relaxed day by the sea, just a quick Metro ride from Newcastle. With its beautiful coastline, friendly village feel, and plenty to explore, it’s easy to while away a whole afternoon here. Take in the stunning views from Tynemouth Priory and Castle, feel the sand between your toes on Longsands Beach, or simply enjoy a bracing walk along the shore. Pop into the bustling Tynemouth Market for local crafts and vintage finds, then refuel in one of the many cosy cafés or laid-back surf spots nearby. Whether you’re after fresh sea air, great food, or a wander somewhere new, Tynemouth is an easy, feel-good choice for a day trip.

Meet at the Parkinson Building steps at 8:45 am to depart at 9:00 am.

This trip is not guided, once we reach Tynemouth, you are free to explore the city on your own.

We will be arriving back in Leeds at approximately 7:00 pm (depending on traffic).

Ticket includes return coach travel. Pick-up/drop-off will be at Parkinson Steps.

All tickets are non-refundable.
