EARS Academic: Genghis Khan Exhibition Tour w/Dr Geoffrey Humble
Join us for our first society outing to the Royal Armouries Museum! On this tour of the Genghis Khan and the Mongolian Empire exhibition, we will be joined by Dr Geoffrey Humble, a specialist in the field of medieval Mongolia!
As our trip has been kindly supported by the Mongolian Embassy, all of our members can go free! (Original cost was £7 entry). All tickets include a free drink at the museum's café.
About the exhibition:
Discover the story of how the unstoppable force of Genghis Khan overcame exile, murder and betrayal to unite his people and rule over an empire that stretched from Europe to China.
For the first time in the UK, see over 250 rare and exciting objects from Mongolia which will tell the story of how the feared Mongol warriors of the Steppe, masters of horse and bow, forged an empire that gave us the first postal system, paper money and a policy of religious tolerance.
