Explore Llandudno and The Great Orme, Wales. GOGA guided walk Saturday 23rd November 2024
Come with Get Out Get Active and explore the spectacular Great Orme limestone headland and the Welsh coastal resort of Llandudno.
The Great Orme is a massive limestone headland on the north coast of Wales, north-west of the town of Llandudno. Referred to as Cyngreawdr Fynydd by the 12th-century poet Gwalchmai ap Meilyr, its English name derives from the Old Norse word for sea serpent.
There will be two walking route options- a shorter route for people who wish to spend more time in Llandudno town and a longer walk for those wishing to explore further. Please note that the length of time to explore Llandudno will depend on which route option you pick.
You will need good outdoor walking shoes or strong trainers (you don’t mind getting muddy) plus a layer of waterproof clothing. You will also need a change of footwear for after the walk, and a bag for you muddy shoes/boots.
