Are you new to Valorant or even competitive games in general and looking to get some more experience and learn from other players? Or perhaps are you a ranked warrior who's looking to forray into your first tournament experience? Maybe you're even a seasoned professional and just looking to get another win under your belt. Regardless, this tournament is for you, even if you just want to watch along!

LUU eSports and Video Games Society are hosting a semi-professional Valorant tournament with skill levels all the way from never played to Radiants. There will be a prize of 5000vp split between the winning team, which you can use in game to pick up a skin you like, unlock agents, or purchase the battle pass. The sign-ups are open now and will remain open until 11:59pm on Tuesday 26th January 2025.

The tournament finals will be hosted in person in Crossroads and Common Ground in LUU from 5pm on Saturday 1st February 2025 and is open to all University of Leeds and Leeds Arts University students. All games will be streamed live on twitch @luuesportssoc with casting, and a live watch party will be held in Crossroads. Crossroads will also be available as a practice space.

Signups are individual and you will be randomly allocated to a team to allow for a balanced competition. You can select one or 2 additional players you would like to be teamed with, but 5 stacks wont be allowed in the interest of fairness.  Whilst we will try to put you with these players, it is not guaranteed due to team balancing or numbers. If the number of sign ups is not a multiple of 5, there is a chance players will not be allocated a team, and these players will remain on standby for any players that pull out.

If signups exceed 4 teams, an online qualifier will take place at 7pm on Thursday 30th January. The format of this will be determined closer to the day, but teams will play a maximum of 2 games.

The finals will consist of a single elimination bracket with random seeding. The semi-finals will be bo1, with the finals being a bo3. For anyone competing, we will require student ID on the day to verify your status.
