Join the members of Performing Arts Society for 2 hours of musical theatre singing, dancing and acting - no experience needed! 

DATE: Monday 28th September

TIME: 6-8pm (drinks afterwards)

LOCATION: Room 2, LUU Building

Our free Give It A Go (GIAG) taster class will merge our singing, dancing and acting classes together into one jam-packed session! This class is perfect for anyone interested in trying out musical theatre performance in a low-pressure, non-judgemental environment. Students from any university in Leeds are able to attend and you don’t have to know anything about musical theatre in advance!

The GIAG will include:

• Ice-breakers and acting games;
• Group singing led by our singing teacher;
• Learning a short dance routine with our Dance Captain.

We'll also make sure everyone has someone to walk back with after class :)

At the end of session, everyone is invited to come to Terrace (our university bar) for a drink to celebrate the start of term and to chat with the committee more!

Tickets:

Our GIAG is free but tickets must be reserved on the Engage website to guarantee your spot in the class (go to the Event tab on the Performing Arts Society page to do this). We only have 25 tickets available, so don't leave it too long to reserve yours!

Accessibility: 

We cater to all abilities and usually have a mix of beginners and advanced performers in our classes. Our sessions can be tailored to any access requirements and members are always welcome to sit out at any point during class.

Room 2 is on Level 2 of the Union building and can be accessed via a staircase or a lift. The room is wheelchair accessible and located nearby an accessible toilet.

The noise level will be quite high during our dance segment. Anyone is welcome to remove themselves if this becomes too much.
