Music, Rhythm & Movement with Marcus Hill and Jim Bird
This free event gives you the chance to make new friends and feel part of life at the University of Leeds.
- Meet two experienced musicians and make music together (no previous music skills necessary)

- Join with other students either starting or continuing their journey at Leeds

Together we will use rhythm, music and simple relaxing movements to generate a collective sense of togetherness. Book your place and join us!
Facilitators:
Marcus Hill – guitarist and songwriter, passionate about wellbeing and mental health and the power of music to bring people together, break down barriers and discover self-awareness; is an empathic and qualified coach. Marcus also won the Leeds Partnership Award in the Wellbeing category in 2021.
Jim Bird – a Hand Drummer, Percussionist has a passion for empowerment, leadership and coaching to build confidence and breakdown self created anxieties. A wellbeing champion, Jim creates an environment for openness and authenticity enabling people to bring their whole and authentic selves.
As musicians they have guested at the University of Leeds Summer Staff Festival. They have also played host to the annual International Student Club International Folk Evening for students, (2018-2020) which took place in the Emmanuel Centre in November each year.
