Futures Conference
The Black Futures Conference is a one-day careers and professional development event designed to connect Black students with employers, professionals, alumni and networks across a range of industries.
The event will combine employer stalls and networking in Pyramid Canteen with talks, panels and career-focused sessions in Pyramid Theatre, giving students the chance to explore opportunities, hear directly from professionals and build useful connections.
It will focus on representation, career progression, recruitment, employability and access to opportunities, with particular value for students who may not always see themselves represented in professional spaces. Grounded Networking is also supporting the event, alongside a targeted group of employers from sectors including technology, engineering, finance, professional services and business.
This event is part of the official LUU Black History Month 2026 programme.
