Chatsworth House Trip 04/10/2026

Group Trips Programme
Venue Parkinson Steps
Starts Sun 4 Oct 8:45AM
End Sun 4 Oct 6:30PM

Nestled in the heart of the Peak District, this historic building has stood since the 1550s. It houses a world-famous collection of European art which includes Ancient Roman sculpture, Egyptian artwork, masterpieces by Rembrandt, Reynolds and Veronese, as well as work by outstanding modern artists, such as Lucian Freud, Edmund de Waal and David Nash. If this were not enough, there are also 105 acres of formal gardens to explore, which have been carefully cultivated over the past 500 years. The gardens contain extravagant water features, a Victorian rock garden and a hedge maze. Both the house and grounds featured on the 2005 adaptation of Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice' as the home of Mr Darcy.

Should you choose to join us, we will meet at the Parkinson Building steps at 8:45am to depart at 9am. We aim to arrive at Chatsworth House by 10.30am, dependant upon traffic. This trip is not guided, so you are free to explore independently. We will board the coach again at 4.45pm, to arrive back in Leeds at approximately 6:30 pm, dependant upon traffic.

Your ticket includes transport to and from Chatsworth House, as well as entry to the house and gardens.
