Discover The Journal Volume IV from LUUMC. This latest edition brings together stories from the remote peaks of the Karakoram to the forests of Finland, the granite walls of Squamish, and the wild epics of Wales and Scotland.

Built around the theme of memories, Volume IV brings together personal stories, expedition tales, and adventures from first ascents to winter mountaineering - capturing the spirit of adventure that defines our climbing community in Leeds, Yorkshire, and further afield. 

Join us to celebrate the launch in a relaxed, social atmosphere with a live DJ set throughout the evening, plus a limited selection of free food and drinks.

Entry:
The launch party is open to the public, and no ticket is required to attend.

If you would like to climb as well as attend, please purchase entry to The Climbing Lab and complete any required waivers on the day as usual. If you are not climbing, you are welcome to join for free - however we kindly ask you to not go on the matting area below the climbing walls due to the venue's insurance policies.

About the magazine:
The Journal is a collaborative non-profit publication run by students of the Leeds University Union Mountaineering Club (LUUMC). It has been in and out of print since the 1950’s, and has the aim of documenting the stories and voices of the climbing scene in the club, Yorkshire and beyond. It seeks to explore the climbing community’s history, celebrate achievements and offer inspiration to readers, with contributions from both members of the club and the wider community.
