Choking During Sex: What You Need to Know About Safety and UK Law
Choking as part of consensual sex is becoming more common in the UK. This online student workshop will give useful information about the safety and legal implications of choking.
You do not need to display your full/real name or have your camera on. There will be opportunities to ask questions anonymously if you wish. This event is being run by an outside organisation, and your details will not be given to anyone at the University or Union.
The session will be led by Leeds-based organisation Behind Closed Doors and will be covering:
- What we mean by ‘choking’
- Medical issues that can come from choking
- What UK law says
- Issues around consent in the UK
- Where to get help if you need it
