Explore Windermere, Lake District - GOGA Guided Walking Trip - Saturday 9th November 2024
Explore Lake Windermere and the surrounding areas, located in the picturesque Lake District National Park. Windermere is the largest natural lake in England – over 10.5 miles long and is known to be one of the jewels of the English countryside. Coach travel from and to Parkinson steps is included in the ticket price.
We will walk along some of the many rivers, covering differing terrain and offering incredible views across Lake Windermere and towards many of the surrounding country houses. The trip will offer two walking options- there will be a shorter walk for those wanting to take the walk at a slower pace and a longer walk for those looking to explore some more of the hiking options in this beautiful setting.
There will be some free time after the walk to visit the many cafes and shops located on the shores of Lake Windermere.
