Have an interest in karting? Missed out on our taster sessions last semester?
Join us on 29th January for a taste of what Motorsport Society has instore for this semester. Whether you're a seasoned veteran of karting or never sat in a kart before, this is the event for you!

This Give-It-A-Go is held alongside our internal karting round, so you'll get to meet many of our current members and hear from those who have joined us this year and their experiences.
 

Your ticket for the event will include 30 minutes of driving broken up into 2 sessions:

• 15 minutes of practice and qualifying, where you get to know the track and set your fastest time against 17 others, which determines your starting position for the race
• Followed by a 15-minute (approx. 16-lap) race, battling for positions!

Transport to TeamSport Bradford is included in the form of a coach from the Parkinson Building to the track, and back afterwards. With tickets at just £31 you will not find more affordable racing anywhere else!

This event does not require a membership and is purely in place to give you a taste of racing and what our society does. If you do enjoy your time, membership costs just £35, giving you access to purchase tickets for all our future events throughout this academic year. This includes our internal karting championships known as Tour de Yorkshire, as well as other special events throughout the rest of this year.

All that we need from you is the following:

• To purchase a ticket for the event.
• Turn up at the bottom of the Parkinson Building Steps at 13:05.
• Wear (or bring) appropriate clothing (No open-toed footwear or scarves to be worn on track). 
  All other kit like gloves, racing suit and helmet will all be provided for you.
  Balaclavas are included with your ticket.
• Finally, have fun and enjoy meeting new people with similar passions to yourselves.

We hope to see as many of you at the event as possible, for some fast-paced, action packed fun!

Refund Policy

If you wish to have a refund, then you must contact a member of the committee stating so. This must be done with AT LEAST 48 HOURS notice prior to the event's starting time. If these conditions are not met, we cannot guarantee a refund. By purchasing this ticket, you are accepting these conditions.

This event is for people new to the society.
This is not for previous members who have raced in our TdY series before.
Any previous members who buy a ticket without contacting a committee member beforehand will not race.
