Come along to pick a new statement piece, update your autumn wardrobe, or make moving into your new place a bit easier by dropping off your unwanted clothes, household items and study materials.

Join us in the Welcome Tent opposite Leeds University Union where you'll be able to swap clothes, household items and study materials for something new. No need to register for a ticket, just come along any time between 10am - 4pm.

Swap shops are where people can exchange their ‘unwanted’ stuff for ‘new’ items, aiming to reduce the amount of waste as well as the resources for the production of new clothes, furniture and study materials. 

You are more than welcome to participate in the swap shop by dropping off your ‘old’ items (good quality, clean, no obvious stains/tears), taking items home, or both. We accept a wide range of stuff, so there's likely something perfect for you! 

The event is open to members of the public, including students and staff of all sizes. We will have a selection of good-quality, second-hand clothes, household items and study materials for you to browse and take free of charge - you don’t have to bring stuff to swap for you to take for yourself!

If you intend to bring clothes to donate, please ensure they have been washed.

Clothes with significant stains/tears can be dropped off providing they have been thoroughly washed. These items will not be offered as part of the Swap Shop, but will be salvaged for textiles re-use/recycling as appropriate.
