TYNE TOUR!!!

We are headed to the river Tyne at Hexham for a weekend of awesome paddling, fun activities and a night of dancing! Tyne tour is a huge kayaking festival with lots of kayak groups from around the country to join the fun!

Weekend Itinerary:
Friday:
-Early evening: pack cars at the chapel and drive to Hexham (time tbc)
-Set up camp 
-Option for a night out in Hexham, or chill at the campsite

Saturday:
-Kayaking! (or a hike/ land activity if you dont want to kayak)
-Ceilidh from 7:30 in the evening!

Sunday:
-Kayaking again! (or a hike/land activity if you dont want to kayak)
-arrive back in leeds in the evening

More information:
Accomodation: We will be camping at the tyne tour festival, this means you need a sleeping bag, mat and tent. If you dont have a tent there should be space in other tents! There are basic toilets on the campsite and showers at a local leisure center.

Food: You have to organise your own food for the weekend: There are lots of supermarkets and cheap pubs just a short walk from the campsite. If you have cooking equipment, you can cook at the campsite.

Kit List:
Kayaking:
-Thermals top and bottom (not cotton): enough for 2 days and more than you think you will need
-Jumper to wear on water (not cotton)
-Wetsuit boots or trainers: these will get wet
-Towel
-Contact lenses or glasses strap (if you use glasses)
-Large shopping bag/ ikea bag for wet kayaking kit
-Snacks/ Lunch 

Camping:
-Camping Mat
-Sleeping Bag
-Tent (or space in another tent if you dont have a tent)
-Torch
-Power Bank
-Off the water clothes: lots of warm clothes as we are outside all weekend
-Waterproof coat
-Water Bottle
-Food/ money
