This teaching session is open to all members — no previous first aid or medical experience required, just an interest in pre-hospital medicine! This is a great opportunity to get hands-on and learn in a relaxed, supportive (and inside!) environment.

We’ll be learning about all that things that can go wrong in THE BIG BAD CITY 🏙️!

Think drug overdoses, alcohol intoxication, psychiatric emergencies, urban search and rescue, and dealing with patients in busy, unpredictable city environments. We’ll explore what happens when things go wrong in the middle of the city — and how pre-hospital responders manage challenging, real-world scenarios.

We’ll also have all our exciting equipment out for you to try, giving you the chance to get familiar with the kind of kit used in real pre-hospital settings. There may also be a few practical case scenarios where you can apply what you’ve learned and practice your teamwork and communication skills (not a test, just for fun!).

Please make sure you’ve purchased a membership before attending this event — this helps us cover the cost of kit and ensures you’re covered for our teaching sessions :)
