Welcome back Wildlings!

We are very excited to have many more wilderness medicine antics planned for you this year. To start things off we'll be running our Term 1 GIAG to nearby Hebden Bridge!

We'll be taking the train from Leeds Station to Hebden Bridge and hiking a roughly 10km route from there, taking in lovely moorland, the pictured Stoodley Pike, and a woodland return.

The GIAG is absolutely FREE to attend, all you need to buy is the return train ticket, details below… 

When and where:

We'll be meeting at 09:00am on Sunday 6th October outside the main entrance to Leeds Train Station (https://maps.app.goo.gl/JDYBKayXpVsZvdQ19 ) to get the 09:19am train to Hebden Bridge. We will begin walking to the platform at 09:10am, so please don't be late.

We'll be hiking from Hebden Bridge station and enjoying a picnic lunch in addition to going through some first aid scenarios on the way round. Upon return to Hebden Bridge we'll enjoy a drink in a cafe or pub, before getting the return train to Leeds between 4-5pm. If you need to get back to Leeds earlier then you are free to get an earlier train back after the walk.

Please buy your return train ticket before the GIAG. This is easiest on https://www.thetrainline.com/ or direct through Northern Rail. An off-peak day return ticket should cost around £6-7 with a railcard.

What you need to bring: 

- Train ticket (off-peak day return recommended) and railcard if applicable

- Suitable walking shoes/ boots with good grip (no pumps or sliders please!)

- Warm clothing (including hat and gloves)

- Waterproof jacket (essential as we will be hiking whatever the weather!)

- Lunch and water (at least 1L) 

- Money/card and ID for a tea/ coffee/ beer after the hike

- Any medications or inhalers you require
