HII I am Anoushka Rao a 3rd year film, photography, media student who loves fangirling, crocheting and taking 0.5 pics 💐.I've been very involved with LSTV this past year and i have learnt so much from these amazing people and would love to make it a even more safer place for us by making it as welcoming but fun with my ideas!! I believe I am a very friendly face around here and may not seem at first but will eventually be a yapping machine (online and offline) once we chat.I will make sure to hear everyones ideas and help you in any area as much as possible.So please take a minute to read my manifesto and vote for me 🫶🏻

Hey everyone!! I'm really keen to bring lots of fun energy to this role, and create a fab lil community for all of us to make some more great mems at Uni. Looking forward to making the office somewhere you'd love to hangout. I'd love to plan events - think christmas crafts, visiting the city farm, therapy dogs, lunchtime pints, picnics, sports games, or just having a chat. Let's thrive together x

The sense of community and belonging that I have felt since joining LSTV in my first year has really positively impacted my university experience so far and I really hope I can help continue this for all members new or old. Becoming a point of contact for any members feeling lonely,worried,anxious about a range of issues or just generally wanting a catch up is a role I will take very seriously and I aim to deal with any situation in the best possible way I can. Whether that be keeping coffee hour each week to meet up with members or replying to your worries on an anonymous submission form. Alongside this I believe creating LSTV content centred around student wellbeing and maintaining your mental health will be very impactful. Firstly in raising awareness to the brilliant welfare societies across camps, and incredibly helpful for possible new students to Leeds who are dealing with the stress of finding friends, navigating a new city and the challenges that come with university. As well as focus around certain relevant topics eg: nights out safety and creating incentives to combat those worried after getting home after nights out etc. Overall I really hope I can maintain LSTV’s community by collaborating with our social sec to form more chilled, low-key events such as movie nights or coffee meet ups each month that serve to help everyone feel welcome and seen on the society.
