Hi, I'm Alice and I'd like to run for Showcase Secretary this year! From a very young age musical theatre has been a big part of my life and when I came to uni I didn't want that to change. After being a committed member of the society this year, I'd like to give back. I am very organised, type A personality who loves a list so your showcase we'll be in safe hands. I'm open to all your ideas and will use my experience to make every performance the best it can be and will only settle for something everyone feels proud of putting on stage.

My name is Hope, and I am running for Showcase Secretary this year! I believe that my “triple threat” experience in performing, teaching, and organising performing arts events makes me perfect for this role.

My performing experience dates back to age three, performing in dance shows in my local theatres, something that transformed into a lifelong passion for performance. I became dedicated, spending every moment in dance classes and musical theatre schools, entering competitions wherever I could and taking every opportunity to perform. I have also earned qualifications in dance up to Grade 5 and singing to Grade 8. After being taught by industry professionals (both local and West End), I was able to successfully audition for professional productions from an early age, and I continued to love every second of it!

As I became older, I turned my hobby into a profession, utilising my skills and love for performing arts in teaching and events-organisation. I spent my weekends for three years working as a teacher at a local musical theatre school, where I taught singing, dancing, and acting to students aged 2-17 for showcases and full-scale musicals. I used my skills to earn me a residential job as a performing arts teacher at an international summer school, where I furthered my skills of teaching and organisation to a new level.

Alongside bringing this experience to the role, I will most importantly be able to use my organisational skills for PAS Showcases. I am extremely dedicated and hardworking, always striving for perfection, while also prioritising fun and enjoyment; in all aspects of my life – but particularly in musical theatre. I have previously single-handedly organised charity showcases, and raised life-changing amounts of money along the way. I have also been involved in the organisation and performance of full-scale musicals learned in only four days. Using my performing arts-specific organisational experience, and my passion for putting on the best show, I will thrive in the role of Showcase Secretary; and the results, I hope, would speak for themselves.
