Treasurer Role

The Treasurer is responsible for managing the society’s finances and making sure all financial activities are properly organised and transparent.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the society’s budget and keeping track of income and expenses.
• Recording all financial transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Working with the committee to plan budgets for events and activities.
• Handling payments, reimbursements, and purchases when required.
• Making sure society funds are used responsibly and in accordance with university rules.
• Providing the committee with regular updates on the society’s financial position.
• Working with the President and other committee members when applying for funding or organising events.
• Preparing financial information or reports when required by the university or society.

Overall, the Treasurer should be organised, responsible, trustworthy, and comfortable handling basic financial information.
