Tour was an essential life experience for me. I don’t think I will ever stop going on about how much I loved it. So, I figured I might as well put that to good use and run to be trips and events officer. In case you don’t know me, I thought I would tell you a bit about myself.

Things I love (in no particular order):
Tour
Rollover
Lager
Hotel room doors
UOLWCC

Things I don’t love:
Sleep (you can do that when you’re dead)

The only way I can (acceptably) describe tour is rolling over every morning and Wednesday night, every night. Kate did an amazing job planning the trip this year and I hope I can follow on from all her hard work to make it a week that people don’t want to miss. Every person on tour helped to make it the best time and it’s definitely not something I’ll be forgetting any time soon (don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing though).

I’m good at communicating and always have the ipad on standby, (just in case I take it too far and lose my phone at rollover again) so I’ll always be able to let you know about all the exciting events we have coming up. I also have great time-management and organisational skills (there’s always time for a pint) so would love helping to organise events for the club next year.

I know tour is not for everyone and I want to be inclusive of all members so I would like to organise some other events too, like helping with the ball and maybe even watching some cricket (unbelievable I know).

I would love to be seen as a friendly face around the club or in Terrace every Thursday where I will of course, be rolling over. Jokes aside, UOLWCC has been a huge part of my first year experience and I have met so many amazing people here. When I first joined, I did not know how much it would take over my life, but I’m so happy it has.

Obviously, I can’t wait for Tour ’25 (literally been dreaming about it every night since we left Porec)

And I might have mentioned it already, but in case you needed to be reminded I LOVE TOUR, so trips and events officer feels like it would be the perfect role for me.
