Hello!!

I LOVE CRICKET! ⭐️⭐️⭐️💚💚💚That is something I did not think I would be saying after my first year at university having never played the sport or watched any matches before joining. I honestly cannot believe how lucky I have been to stumble across such an incredible society with such amazing women and I would not want to spend a Wednesday any other way.

I joined women’s cricket to try something new, play some enjoyable netball (the actual Leeds netball trials absolutely scarred anxious lil Lauren London fresh) and let’s be honest, for Wednesday sports night. And this society did not disappoint.

My addiction to Popworld is, I think, the only negative this society has provided me with (apart from the intense fomo I have wishing I could play cricket really well- I WILL TRY TO LEARN🙏🙏but Mustafa doesn’t seem to think I obtain the natural skills required due to my netball-ing background😪😪). I truly have struggled to be apart from Popworld during this Easter and everyone around me at home knows it xxxx the ache in my heart is lowkey embarrassing !! But does demonstrate how much fun I have with you girlies.

Anywho for the boring stuff, I would so love to be your treasurer coz I love money xxxxx🤑🤑🤑🤑

JOKES, I would love to be treasurer as I feel it would be the perfect addition to my economic studies😍, providing me with real-life experience to give some meaning to my degree of which, after hours and hours of studying demand and supply curves, it is currently lacking xx 😅😅

My very enjoyable and educational (I am determined to convince myself of this😁🔫) Economics Theory and Applications workshops every Tuesday 4-6pm have also provided me with a pretty sound, I would like to think, knowledge of how to use excel spreadsheets. This, I have heard, is a crucial skill to this role! Did I mention I love excel!?!?!??!??! 😅😅😅😅😅

Having survived A-level maths and now, fingers crossed, my Maths and Statistics for Economics module, I should hope I would be able to do the maths required as treasurer. Also, I have experience shadowing the financial manager and bursar of my local primary school so have insight into keeping track of expenses. ALSO, I would love to spend more time on the Engage website😍😍😍😍😍😍 as that is what brought me to finding this looooooovely club. 😁

I hope to put the club in a better financial situation so we can continue to have the best Wednesday nights, events and all things cricket! I am also an organisation freak and an avid planner which I feel will come in handy in this role xxx

I would love love love to be part of the committee with all of you, Wednesdays really are the highlight of my week.
