Hi I’m Grace and I’d love to be treasurer for Wine Society next year. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being part of the group this year and found it to be a great opportunity to meet such a wide range of people in a relaxed and friendly environment. I genuinely love socialising and engaging with new people, and the society has been the perfect space to do that whilst sharing a common interest.
Wine has always been a personal interest of mine. I love a good Pinot Grigio, but I also endeavour to explore new varieties and encourage others to do the same. Given the opportunity to take on a leadership role, I’d love to expand the range of events the society offers. I’d be excited to organise events like tasting wines across the world, blind tasting competitions, food pairing nights, collaborations with other societies. Going on a trip is also something I definitely want to try and do like visiting a vineyard or even a weekend trip to a wine region.
As a current medical student, I’ve developed strong organisational skills through balancing a demanding academic workload with other commitments. I’m confident I can help run this society effectively, whether that’s through managing logistics or planning events.
I’m really enthusiastic about contributing to this society, helping bring people together and creating memorable experiences. I’d be thrilled to take on this role and create a year filled with good wine, good company and plenty of unforgettable evenings.
