Hi, I am Logan, a first year History student aiming to become sponsorship secretary of the history society.

I am running for sponsorship secretary of the History Society because I believe I will be able to make a positive impact and help to grow the history society through external relations.
Throughout my first year at university I have engaged with the History society, taking part in the biweekly pub quiz and making new friends through events hosted by the society.
If I gain the position of sponsorship secretary, I aim to use my position to ensure the History society can afford to host more great events throughout the year.
I am particularly interested in the role of sponsorship secretary to challenge myself, whilst also increasing my contributions toward the history society.

Using my previous experience in my local council, acting as a parish councillor, I have strengthened my skills in communication and public relations. I believe I can effectively act as a sponsorship secretary for the society. I will work to introduce new sponsors to allow for our society to continue to grow whilst strengthening connections with existing sponsors.

Further, I aim to support the members of our society, ensuring that we remain an inclusive society where everyone’s voice is heard.
