I’m Adi, and I’m running to be your next CompSoc Treasurer. Now, I get it—handling money isn’t the most glamorous job. But making sure CompSoc has the funds for epic events, top-tier workshops, and legendary socials? That’s where I come in.

I’ve worked in high-stakes finance, literally. I interned at a proprietary trading firm, where I helped develop and optimize order execution systems—because when real money’s on the line, every millisecond and every penny counts. I’ve also managed a £1 million virtual portfolio at Luutis Virtual Fund, leading a team of analysts to make smart investment decisions. And at the Leeds Policy Institute, I’ve worked on financial regulation research—so, yeah, I know how to handle a budget.

As Treasurer, I’ll secure sponsorships, optimize spending, and make sure our budget works for you. Want more career-focused events? Done. Better funding for hackathons and coding competitions? Absolutely. Bigger, better socials that even the introverts won’t want to miss? You got it.

Hi, I’m Eschal. You may know me as CompSoc’s 23/24 Charity Secretary, 24/25 Treasurer & LeedsHack Co-founder!


As Charity Secretary, I founded our first ever charity partnership with Computer Aid and worked with the committee to make our ball into an Annual Charity Ball where 25% from all tickets sold went to charity. I also founded our Charity Casino Night to raise money for charity which was a popular event for which we received a lot of positive feedback. When I was Charity Sec we raised more money for charity than ever before.


As Treasurer, I have kept track of all our finances (PhD in Google Sheets) as well as coordinated with the union to create a separate LeedsHack account and our expenses are processed quicker in the lead up to big events. Through maintaining our budget we’ve even been able to subsidise big events like Arcade Club. I’ve gotten us partnerships with companies such as Virgin Media O2, Maki & Ramen and AmberJack Global. I’ve also maintained our relationship with Computer Aid. I did all this whilst on placement working a 9-5 too!


As a Co-founder of LeedsHack I was in charge of all financial decisions made. This included budgeting, monitoring all financial streams & handling expenses. Furthermore, I was in charge of sponsorships. I co-ordinated sponsorship payments and can now probably make an invoice with my eyes closed. I solely secured Pexip, IMDb and rebuildingsociety.com as sponsors - raising £4000 for the event. Furthermore, I’m already in talks with Pexip, IMDb, Nikon and Nextflow for next year's LeedsHack. In addition to handling finances and sponsorship, I sorted out timetabling for the event, prizes, catering quantities & communications with on the day volunteers and sponsors.


Additionally, I’ve formally studied finance and economics at both an A Level and University standard.


Next year I plan to make LeedsHack even bigger and better by having more participants and sponsors. I also plan to increase our industry collaborations and sponsorships within CompSoc. Moreover, I will increase charity events throughout the year to raise even more money for charity partners.
