Hi! I’m Nerea. As a past member of the pádel society, I was lucky enough to meet a lovely group of people and form part of this amazing community. I wanted to continue my participation by becoming part of the committee. As I am studying accounting and finance, I thought it would be a great opportunity to put my knowledge in practice and become the society’s treasurer. For this reason I think I have both the skills and the enthusiasm required to successfully fulfill this role.

A short poem for treasurer:

So my name is Aimee and I’m 23,
I’ll be starting my sixth year so I’m quite the OAP.
I study medicine so I have to sneak off placement,
To make sure I get in some padel entertainment.
I’m not the most regular player in the padel society,
But I will always love the club undeniably.
I have been a medics netball committee members for years,
So I come with lots of experience and no fears.
I have previously organised netball and rugby tour,
So the club money will be handled responsibly I can assure.
The girls have done an amazing job so far,
And in a true northern accent I’d like to say a big ‘tah’
With my committee experience I can help this society grow,
Leeds padel society with be the real star of the show.
So vote for me for treasurer and I’ll love you forever x

P.s. I am highly skilled at organising trips for large groups of people and I sense a Padel Tour on the cards…. Barcelona 2024?? Obviously we’ll see alumni there too
