Hi everyone, I’m Anne, and I’m running for Societies Rep.

Even though I haven’t held this role before, I’m confident that I have the skills and mindset to do it well. I’m organised, approachable, and a strong communicator, which are all really important for making sure societies feel supported and heard.

I’ll be a reliable point of contact for all societies and sports teams, making sure communication between them and MSRC is clear, consistent, and easy. I’m someone who stays on top of things, so I’ll keep contact lists accurate and up to date, and make sure important information is shared properly so nothing gets missed.

I also work well in a team and enjoy collaborating with others, so I’m excited to work alongside the MSRC executive committee to support societies and help organise key events like Freshers’ Fair, Worsley Awards, and Varsity. I’m more than happy to get involved behind the scenes and put in the effort to make sure these events run smoothly.

I understand how important it is to be prepared early, so I’m fully committed to starting in September and making sure societies are organised and ready before the academic year begins.

Overall, I’m reliable, proactive, and easy to approach, and I’ll make sure every society feels represented and supported.

This year, I’ve had the privilege of serving as Societies Representative, successfully organising the Freshers’ Fair and coordinating Varsity, both of which ran smoothly and showcased the strength of our student community. Having built strong relationships with society leads and the wider council, I understand the challenges societies face and how to support them effectively. If re‑elected, I will continue to advocate for societies’ needs, improve communication, and ensure events are well‑supported and inclusive. I’m committed to making our societies vibrant, visible, and central to the medical school experience.
