I believe I would be a strong fit for the role of Publicity Representative for MSRC because I combine creativity, organisation, and clear communication—skills that are essential for keeping a student community engaged and informed.

I am confident in managing social media platforms, particularly Instagram, in a way that is both consistent and engaging. I already have experience running society social media accounts, so I understand what it takes to build engagement and keep content relevant and appealing. I would like to think that I’m a pretty seasoned user of Canva, so creating posters and other graphics would be a piece of cake. I enjoy designing clean, eye-catching visuals and would collaborate with other committee members to make sure all content reflects the identity of MSRC.

If you ask anyone I know, I’m always on my phone, so DMs will get answered quickly and efficiently. I’m approachable and professional in communication, and I understand how important it is to respond promptly so students feel heard and informed.

In addition to social media management, I am well-organised and detail-oriented, which would help me stay on top of updates regarding events and merchandise orders. I would ensure that all communications are accurate, timely, and aligned with the society’s goals. I am also keen to work alongside the IT team to help maintain and update the website and merch store, ensuring everything is current and easy to access.

Overall, I am enthusiastic about contributing to MSRC by improving communication, increasing engagement, and helping create a strong and recognisable online presence.

Connecting with people is something I genuinely treasure, and being Publicity Rep feels like the perfect way to help everyone feel engaged, informed, and excited about everything the MSRC has to offer.
Creativity is honestly one of my favourite things! I love exploring new ideas and keeping up with the latest Instagram aesthetics to make content that feels unique and fun. I've got a solid grasp of Canva and would pour so much care into making posts that are eye-catching, engaging, and actually worth stopping your scroll for.
I also love being able to organise different projects! I'm the person who colour-codes their calendar and triple-checks everything before it goes out. Combined with the fact that I'm pretty much always on my phone, I'd make sure the socials stay active, DMs get replied to promptly, and nothing ever slips through the cracks.
More than anything, I want the MSRC to feel visible, exciting, and genuinely welcoming to absolutely everyone. I'd love the chance to help grow its online presence and make sure it reaches as many people as possible in a way that feels warm and inclusive.

Hi! I’m Aleesha and I’d love to be MSRC’s Publicity Rep!

I love posting on Instagram, I’m constantly making stories for all the food spots I big back at.

I’m also chronically online so I consume a lot of content, from this I’ve learnt tips on how to engage an audience online and make posts accessible and fun.

I’d love to use those skills to keep MSRC’s page appealing and eye catching.

I have lots of experience using Canva for posters and presentations, I designed this poster with Canva and hope you like it- as publicity rep I could make posts for every event that look like this :)

I’m organised, creative and confident I’d be able to take on the responsibility of communicating across various social media platforms and developing MSRC’s website.
