After spending a number of years of being involved in PALS, as a PALS1 co-lead, PALS communication officer and a PALS3 co-lead, I've really enjoyed working as part of the PALS team.

I thoroughly enjoy organising and planning a range of events. As a PALS 1 co-lead I helped organise events and collaborated with societies like Psyched to help deliver these events. I was also involved in attending meetings and making notes as part of the records.

As a communication officer, I was able to further develop my communication skills and learnt how to change these depending on the audience. I created the PALS newsletter and mailing list to make it easier to send out information got sessions. I also jazzed up the PALS Instagram with quirky captions and fun posters, this attracted students to attending sessions.

As a PALS 3 co-lead, I was involved in planning various revision sessions throughout the year and the PALS 3 MOSCE. All event were integral to helping with revision for third year students. Communication, organisation and adaptability are key skills and something I can bring to the role of being the PALS vice president.

Having been part of the PALS team for the past 3 years, I have enjoyed the opportunities PALS has bought in meeting other students and developing key leadership skills and confidence.

Overall, I'm an approachable individual and ready to lend a hand when needed. Having worked in various roles within PALS, both within the core committee, as well as in the role of a co-lead, I have a good understanding of the expectations of PALS and what the different roles involved, this would make me ideal as a vice president.

I found the last 3 year as part of PALS to be an amazing opportunity and look forward to helping develop PALS further in the following year. I hope to use this opportunity to give back to other students and support them.
