My name is Rehan, and I am a 2nd year Accounting and Finance student. Having represented my local football team for the past 12 years, sports has been an integral part of my life. During my 1st year I was also a member of a team that represented PakSoc at the ISOC football tournament.
What I aim to bring to the society as Sports Rep is a range of different sporting events that are inclusive and varied. I hope to ensure that everybody within the society has a chance to take part in a sport that appeals to them by asking the society what sporting events they would be interested in and then subsequently organising and delivering such events.
As an accounting and finance student, I believe that the planning and organisation of sports events will fit my skillset perfectly. Examples of sporting events I would aim to provide if elected, would be regular 5-a-side football sessions, as well as cricket or football tournaments amongst other societies, and potentially PakSocs from different universities to show the competitive nature of Leeds PakSoc (if we lose in cricket tournaments I’ll resign). My main aim would be to encourage everyone to get involved with different sports regardless of their sporting ability to give everyone a chance to develop their skills.
As university students, it’s important to maintain a healthy balance between studies and extra-curricular activities and as Sports Rep I will work to the best of my ability to deliver this to all members.

Hey everyone, my name is Muhammad Ali and I’m running to be your next Sports Rep in PakSoc. I am a 3rd year law student from Islamabad. Being an avid sports fan, I have been involved with sports throughout my life in different roles. These roles range from being a batsman on the pitch, to a midfielder for football teams. I have represented Pakistan at an international level as well, travelling with the Under 18 Pakistan Cricket Team to Australia.

I have past experience in organising events, as I was the organization head in my school for the Inter-School Sports Olympiad. I am planning to organise various sporting events, which will include regular football matches, cricket training sessions including hard ball and tape ball cricket depending on the skill sets of our members, and tournaments for these sports. Apart from these I am planning to conduct events like match screenings, bowling, laser tag and paint ball. I aim to work with other societies for events like cricket such as ISA and Bengal Soc. I will be open to suggestions regarding other sports. Hopefully, I will be able to deliver exciting and competitive sporting events.
