Hello, my name is Amelia and I’m running to be next year’s ballet society President! The ballet society has played a huge role in my university experience and the responsibility of being Merch and Costume sec in my second year and Treasurer this year has made me want to continue to contribute towards this amazing society. I believe I will be a valuable member of next years committee and have a lot I would like to contribute. Throughout my three years in the society, I have witnessed incredible talent, commitment and friendships within our group. If I were to be elected I would work with committee to continue to enhance our society, ensuring it remains an inspiring and inclusive space for all dancers!

Having been on committee for two years now, I believe I have a strong understanding on how the society is run. With my experience I’ll be able to support committee members in their responsibilities to ensure as a team, we create the best environment for our members. I would like to continue to endorse the fabulous work of Show Rep Clara with inclusivity and accessibility, work with social and welfare secs to provide sober and non-sober socials to strengthen friendships within the society and to ensure that ballet society remains a financially accessible society for all members.

Thank you for taking time to read my manifesto. Ballet Society has truly shaped my university experience, and I would be honoured to lead it as President in my final year. I’m passionate about continuing to build a welcoming, inclusive and inspiring environment where every member feels valued - whether on stage, in class, or at socials. I’d love the opportunity to give back to a community that has given me so much.
