Hello fellow design studio dwellers! I am Andrew Moody *insert cool special effects here or something* and I am super excited to be running for prezzie for PDES soc!

Moving up to Leeds has been an insane time in my life, and although I've only been up here for a year, it's already changed me for the better. So much of this is down to product design and life up in level 5 of mech-eng. The course has felt more like a family away from home to me and the society only helps to increase that family tree. I don't think many other courses across the country, let alone Leeds, have an environment that lets all years of a course inter mingle and share stories and advice quite like ours, and I am so grateful for it. So much so, I want to give back by being at the core of our little society.

Alright, enough of the soppy stuff. If you were to vote me as president, I'd work at making sure PDES stays the super social environment we've made it to be. Not only that, I want to organise more chances for all the years to share advice about their experiences in the course. And of course more socials, where people can come to unwind (or rant) from the all-nighter spent trying to make InDesign work (spoiler alert: it didn't). I also want to ensure next year's freshers get to enjoy our community just as I have this year!

I may only be some random fresher going into my second year, but I'd truly appreciate it if you put your faith in me to be the president for our society! Let's keep building, and designing, see what I did there, our society to the greatest thing it can be :D
