I'd love to be your Open Seat & Welfare rep. I have had 2 years experience on committee so far and I feel equipped to lend a helping hand whenever necessary to spread the work load because I am aware things can get very busy juggling a degree and a committee role! I think I am a solution orientated person and hope you would trust that I can be an impartial pair of ears to listen to any welfare concerns from all members. I will be able to signpost you to resources as well as empower you to make decisions that will help ease whatever situation might be overwhelming you throughout the year.

Hi all, I'm Amy and I'm running for Open Seat/Welfare. I think I'm a good choice for this role as I'm a bit of a jack of all trades and so am more than happy to chip in wherever is needed. In the past I've:

- Been president of a society with 30+ committee members so have experience organising large groups, running events and checking on committee welfare
- Been secretary for a society with 20+ subsocieties, so know my stuff when it comes to room bookings, minutes and formal documentation
- Been treasurer for a local charity and can manage money and resources
- Been on committee before, so know how LAMMPS runs and can lend a hand with anything spon/fun related
- Been on prod team for show strand so am familiar with the process for that strand and would love a chance to get more involved helping with the other strands
- Have had a welfare role in my job training volunteers for a national LGBT+ charity, including check-ins and EDI initiatives. I'd also love the chance to do this role to improve my welfare knowledge and hep support a society I've loved being a part of.
