Hello lovely LAMMPS people,
I'm running for President!!
I'd love to be Pres because I want to lead and support our wonderful society through another year of putting on the wholesome-est choir concerts, the fabulous-est Dance shows and the best-est UoL musical!!

As secretary this year I have loved supporting and organising the background running of the society in a really successful LAMMPS year. I am organised, a dedicated notetaker and feel confident in understanding the different strands' needs.

My plan for LAMMPS is to continue pushing strand integration and social interaction through socials and Cabaret. I am also keen to continue supporting and developing LAMMPS fundraising endeavours, for example, building on the success of choir concerts by charging entry to increase our charitable donations. I also feel that LAMMPS has been a huge part of my support system at medical school so I want to ensure that we continue to make the society well-being-driven and a lovely welcoming environment for students on really hard degree courses.

Hellooo lovely LAMMPSters,

With much excitement, I’m announcing I’m running for Pres this year (eeek)!

This is the awkward part where we have to sing our own praises and be persuasive, here goes:

Why vote for me?

- I’ve been in LAMMPS for 3 years, 2 years on committee - best 3 years of my life (minus the Medicine).
- I’ve been in all three strand at some point, so know how wonderful they are in their own ways.
- I want to continue Cam’s mission to unite the strands even more.
- Cam and Co. did an AMAZING job on Cabaret this year. Now that I’ve seen their creative vision, I’ve got so many ideas for this year, to showcase all three strands at their best!
- I want to make our mock OSCEs even better, by introducing immersive, interactive workshops on chronic pain and mental health conditions.
- From being Assistant Director, I have experience of juggling a room of enthusiastic yapping people so could handle running committee meetings.
- From being Producer, I got good at delegating and co-ordinating a lot at once. Multi-tasking is my middle name. (If I can figure out 24 quick costume changes, I can figure out anything) Oh! And we made the most money of any show fundraiser to date!
- From being Social Sec, I get how important it is for people to feel safe and included.
- I’m really keen to get more freshers involved, to continue the LAMMPS legacy when we graduate.
- I am an ideas gal - I love having wild ideas and teamworking to make them possible (did someone say 3D moon costume?).
- If elected, I promise to get over my stage fright and actually perform with Dance strand next year (the fomo was so real!)

LAMMPS has been the single best thing I’ve done at uni, and I really want as many people as possible to have a similar lovely experience! LAMMPS should be a welcoming space for everyone.
