This role is the managerial backbone of a society; they take minutes and attendance at meetings, reply to important emails and ensuring administrative work gets done when it needed for the society. This will be required to help the committee with the organisation and execution of big events such as conferences. An ideal secretary is organized, committed, and has an ability to multi-task and work well in a team.
