Skills and education (S&E) is a core component of Cutting Edge's output. Running regular, well attended, and successful S&E sessions is paramount to the society’s success. The two S&E co-ordinators are responsible for organising regular surgical skills workshops each term. They are also responsible for organising the society’s annual basic surgical skills course and the skills sessions at the annual conference. The roles also involve organising the 'OSCE series' which are a set of tutorials ran each term to help students in years 3-5 prepare for their OSCEs primarily, but also introduce clinical medicine to students in years 1-2. Over and above this you will be required to help the committee with the organisation and execution of big events such as conferences.
