Hey I'm Cara (going into 5th year Psychology MSc) and I would love to be your Treasurer!

- 2 years on MT exec- Have experience of how the Union and Exec works which I could translate across
-1 year on LAMMPS Committee (current Open Seat)- Understanding of all the strands and what they need from a Treasurer
-Producer of many a MT show- Understanding of how show budgets work and experience working closely with Treasurers

What would I do:
- Continue our current success as I love LAMMPS! We've had a great year this year! I'd want to be in active communication with all the strands to check they're getting everything they need from a Treasurer
-Accessibility- finances should never be a barrier- I would want to work with Exec to lower the cost of being a part of LAMMPS!
-Welfare at the heart of everything I do- I would want to work well with Open Seat and the strand leads to ensure welfare is at the heart of everything !

I'll try to keep this short and sweet - like me (ish).

My priorities are:
Financial help for anyone feeling that money is a barrier to participating in LAMMPS
More perks for our members - did someone say discounted tickets to the strand performances? Well I will certainly put it on the agenda
Making sure the strand leads have the adequate finances to be even bigger and better

I think I am decent at budgeting and I love an Excel spreadsheet. I organised a couple of fundraisers last year for the society which made a lot of money and I would like to continue the success by collaborating with many committee members in organising events across the strands. Maybe we can share the Ultrasounds' charitable spirit after their very successful performances and put on events to raise even more money for worthy causes this year. I have experience running another society and reviving it after lockdown so I am aware of the responsibilities and will give the role my all - especially when it comes to getting those grants. Don't fear I will be on it so we can get that new keyboard.

I completely understand that times are tough financially so I will be open to listen to any concerns and come up with solutions together that work for you.

I have loved every moment of LAMMPS so far. We have such a supportive community spirit and I'd love to be a key member in keeping it up!!!
