Hey I am Emma, I will be going into my 3rd year of Civil Engineering. I joined touch last year and would love to be part of the committee this year! See my poster on why you should vote for me.

Why should you vote for me? (3 truths and a lie)
1. As someone who is often in their overdraft, I am experienced managing a very limited budget
2. I have ChatGPT 4, so it will be like having 2 treasurers, one that knows what it’s doing and it’s human counterpart (me)
3. I am actually the award winning, singer-songwriter and climate lover Taylor Swift disguised as a 20 year old
4. I’m very passionate about touch rugby and if elected will do my best to enhance an already brilliant society

Hi everyone, I am running for treasurer as I think I would be a good fit for the position. At present, I am in second year studying financial mathematics which is a combination of maths, accountancy, and financial management. I believe that this provides me with the relevant skills for this position as treasurer. Also, I regularly work with excel spreadsheets in my coursework so I can ensure that the budgets and finance will all be neatly organised and are in good hands.

Next year, I am on placement at Grant Thornton in Leeds so I will be gaining valuable accountancy experience. As part of the audit team, I will be scrutinising business accounts and ensuring they comply with financial regulations. This experience will directly contribute to my ability to prepare accurate financial reports for the society.

Over the last couple of years, I have really enjoyed being part of touch rugby and I would love the opportunity to have a key role on the committee to ensure that the society continues to grow and thrive. Finally, I am just genuinely excited to bring my skills and dedication to the role of treasurer!
