For those who don't know me/I didn't get a chance to meet during my brief visit at Christmas, I am a 3rd year student currently on a study abroad year in Australia. I started playing touch in my first year at uni and it has given me some of my best memories and lasting friendships. In my second year, I was one of the social secs (who Oli and Sam got all their ideas from!) and lived with President Gambles so I already have a good understanding of how the committee works and the responsibilities of president.

I have lots of exciting ideas for the upcoming year if I were to be elected. Firstly, I will look to expand the reach of the society through events such as a Freshers' competition or a summer touch league, as well as working with the uni to add Touch to the Christie Cup and/or Varsity. I also want to expand the partnership with Yorkshire Thorns to include more regular fixtures (including separate women's and men's games) and joint training sessions as this is something that will benefit both clubs. This is in addition to continuing the women's only sessions that have been run this year as I have heard they are something that worked really well and people found useful. Lastly, I would work with the rest of the committee to hopefully get the first touch rugby tour organised for the end of next year so we can take Leeds Touch worldwide!
