my name is nico and im an undergrad music student. i am running to be psg’s social media officer for 2024/25.

the palestinian cause for emancipation is something deeply personal to me. having been born in a former british colony and to a nation that has withstood genocides and fought against western imperialism, i not only empathise with the plight of the palestinians but will fight for their liberation just as fiercely as i do for my own people.

i have been intimately involved with the palestine movement on campus for the past eight months, having helped organised and participated in almost every student protest since october. my experience with promoting our movement, be it designing poster/social media graphic or writing statements and open letters, primes me for a role in communication. having developed working and personal relationships with other student organisers over the past 8 months, i can also work well with people not just in the psg committee but help broaden our fight against university complicity into wider campus.
