Hi! I am applying to continue as Social Media Officer/Graphic Designer for Leeds Palestine Solidarity Group. Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of being the Graphic Designer, and it has been deeply meaningful to contribute to PSG’s mission of advocating for a free Palestine and raising awareness on campus.

Working with PSG has further strengthened my commitment to digital advocacy. As the group’s Graphic Designer, I’ve helped engage students through creative campaigns around events like our Dabke class and Charity Iftar. I’ve especially focused on making our messaging visually impactful and rooted in accurate information. This has been crucial to counter misinformation and promote informed activism.

Prior to this, I spent several years managing social media for the blood cancer charity Marrow and the Leeds Bengali Society. These experiences helped me hone my skills in campaign planning, and community engagement—skills I’ve continued to apply at PSG.

If re-elected, I’m excited to keep promoting our speaker events, educational workshops, and cultural initiatives that celebrate Palestinian identity. I’m committed to building on the work we’ve done and ensuring our social media continues to mobilise support, broaden our reach, and reflect the voices of students standing in solidarity with Palestine.
