Hi my name is Haaniah! I'm deeply committed to the Palestinian cause and would be honoured to support it as Events Co-ordinator for the Leeds Uni Palestinian Solidarity Group. With experience in organising events, managing supplies, and leading communication across teams, I’m confident in coordinating with the union, societies, and students to deliver impactful events that raise awareness, build solidarity, and create space for meaningful engagement on campus.

Hello everyone, I’m Momana, and I am a second year Politics student. I believe I’m a suitable candidate for this role as I’ve actively been a member of Leeds PSG for the past 2 years, attending marches and protests during encampment, on uni and in Leeds. I’ve demonstrated my commitment to the Palestinian cause, through hiking mount Snowdon in which I raised money for Palestinians, and actively engaging in policy advocacy by emailing my MPs to oppose the violations in Palestine.

As a Politics student I’m well informed about the tragedies and the ongoing ethnic cleansing faced by the Palestinian people. I would love to be your events co-ordinator to celebrate the rich culture and history of Palestine. I would do this through cultural nights, educational workshops, and documentary screenings- to cultivate awareness and foster solidarity for the Palestinian cause.

This opportunity will allow me to advocate and hold events in the name of people who deserve recognition and are affected by this genocide.
