Hi I’m Hannah & I would love to be your LAMMPS Secretary for 2025/6!

I would be a good Secretary for LAMMPS because I am experienced, committed and organised.

I have had previous experience on an exec committee when I was President of RadSoc & had to also at the same time temporarily fill in as Secretary. Therefore I am familiar with the responsibilities of running a large society, scheduling/organising committee meetings, taking meeting minutes, room bookings & membership management.

I have also worked for LUU the past year, so am very familiar with the Activities Team for all society related enquiries, as well as for organising room bookings that are suitable for our needs.

Furthermore, between having had a high intensity undergrad degree experience, working my job, doing my masters degree as well as all my wonderful societies, I am extremely keen on maintaining thorough organisation and time-keeping, which is important for this role!

Additionally as an ex-Allied Health Professional, I believe as Secretary I would be a good role model for younger AHP students in the Schools of Medicine & Healthcare, which have sometimes been underrepresented in LAMMPS in the past. I would make sure that things are scheduled and tailored according to both the Medic & AHP timetables to allow even more active inclusion in our society for different healthcare-related courses!

I have been an extremely committed member of LAMMPS for the last 3 years & would love to be able to represent and give back to this wonderful society! With my previous experience on committee, I am aware of how each of the roles can work together to make LAMMPS function & continue being such a welcoming and inclusive space for all students :)
