Hey all! I’m Amy, a current fourth year medic. I’ve been part of LAMMPS since the online Wedding Singer show in 2020 and it’s been one of the best bits of my time at uni. I’d love to spend my last year on committee and getting to work behind the scenes to give you all the best experience possible as LAMMPS Pres for next year.
I've got plenty of experience on committees, including within LAMMPS and on other exec committees, so think I'm well suited for supporting everyone in their roles.
My number one goal as president would be to do as good as job as prior presidents. I got to write the Worsley and some of the Riley Award nominations this year, which gave me a chance to reflect on what we're doing, and I continue to be impressed by how LAMMPS is firing on all cyclinders year after year. I am exceptionally proud of this society, and would love to do my bit in supporting all three strands in continuing to absolutely smash it.
My other goals including setting up a notes/resources bank for younger society members to widen our reach as a healthcare society, to draft sustainability guidance for future committee and continue to develop the EDI rep role based on feedback from our first year of including this role.
