HEYYY im Lulu and i’m going to be running for 🌟🌟1s CAPTAIN!!🌟🌟i will keep this short and sweet and won’t drone on (much like lottie in our half time talks)
I am a 1s player and this year took on beginners and dev coach and i absolutely loved my role and the girls…therefore i have plentyyyy of experience in running sessions!, managing a team and teaching a thing or two!!🥍
I would like to think i have enough lax experience! not only playing leeds lax i spent all of my easter and will be spending a lot of summer playing too so will be very well prepared to hit the ground running in September🇭🇰 for another and final year of lax
I have had plenty of experience in captaining a team starting all the way back with my school lacrosse team and recently have had the pleasure of being able to say i captained my country 👀👀 🏴
I take fine art, and with my 3 hours of contact time a week ( shocking… i know ) i will have more than enough time to dedicate myself to training, matches, and MISCHIEF ( proud to say my attendance is pretty much perfect ), as my energy toward lacrosse is just about as strong as trying to navigate the rugby corner on a wednesday night, and my dedication to lax goes far beyond the pitch with the 300k i have clocked on strava this year purely to run for the club next weekend
my 19 years on this planet has taught me some lessons which may come in handy:
1)⭐️ i’m a very honest person and am not afraid to say things ! ( my ex boyfriend would sadly agree )
2)⭐️ i am very calm and chilled out, on the pitch-i don’t take myself too seriously and don’t get worked up if we are down!, however im still very competitive and hate to lose
3)⭐️i like to think i am always on time ( unlike yasmine i was usually early most socials )
4)⭐️i have lots of lax knowledge which i would love to share!
5)⭐️i am organised (who else would bring 2 sticks to a match just in case)
with that said i would absolutely LOVE 💚 to be your captain next year and take on the roles which Holly and Mills are leaving behind 😢😢😢
loads of lurveeeee

Good evening lax lovers, my name is Sadie and I’m running for 💚❤️1st Team Captain❤️💚.
For those of you that don’t know me, I’ve played in the first team for the past two years and am in my second year studying medicine (although that doesn’t tell you much given how many of us medics play lax!!) but you might know me better as the winner of the lacrossip girl award.
This isn’t my first time going for committee but hopefully this time I’ll see a bit more success than I see when downing a pint (although I’m pleased to have shown some great improvement from last years time of: uncompleted, to this year moving up to a speedy 47s putting me at second worst on the team, sorry lara)!
But although my pint time may not be strong, I think I have many other characteristics that would make me perfect for the role of captain. During sixth form at school I was lacrosse captain so I have had practise leading a team and running training (since our pe teacher never showed up). I even took us to our best national schools result ever - national schools champions (…of div 2 but that extra info isn’t really necessary 🫣🤫)!! This, coupled with my experience coaching tennis camps in the summer and coaching for my lacrosse club team, and simply just my energy every tuesday training (I live for 8-10 on a tuesday) would make me a great captain.
I have had great role models in holly and mills this year and lara and sophie the year before, and although their legacies will be a hard task to follow, I think I have it in me. I have brainstormed ideas to make monday night trainings even more fun and engaging and can’t wait to come up with many more Kardashian set plays on tuesday nights!!
Well I think that’s enough rambling from me but I just want to end by saying how big of a part leeds lax and all the girls have played in my past two years at uni and Id absolutely love the opportunity to take that even further next year so vote me for first team captain.
Loads of lax love,
Sadie 💚❤️💚❤️💚❤️💚❤️
Good evening lax lovers, my name is Sadie and I’m running for 💚❤️1st Team Captain❤️💚.
For those of you that don’t know me here’s a list of my greatest achievements in ascending order.
1. I’ve played in the first team for the past two years
2. I am in my second year studying medicine (although that doesn’t tell you much given how many of us medics play lax!!)
My mother doesn’t know about number 3 but what happens in LUUWLC stays in LUUWLC
3. winner of the lacrossip girl award.

Hello laxy schmaxies ,
Firstly, I’d like to apologise because you’ve probably all had enough of my facebook posts this year but you’ll be glad to hear that this is one of my final ones🥹. It is with a heavy heart💔 that I am retiring from social sec and top facebook contributor🏅 (proud) and applying for a more mature role👵 (booooo) on committee for the 24/25 season in the form of 🔥FIRST TEAM CAPTAIN!🔥
For those that don’t know me or simply know me as the facebook spammer social sec, lacrossip girl🤳 or the one who got escorted out of headingley stadium by a bouncer at lax ball🫣, I’m Lucy and I love lacrosse maybe just a little bit. I have been fortunate enough to be a member of the first team over the past 2 years and was given the reins to rule Wednesday nights this year alongside my devious and delightful companion Yasmine McLennan🪩💃. I take pride in my degree which I'm regularly reminded is “btech medicine💉” and have STILL managed to somehow prioritise lax over the baby factory for another year so what’s stopping me from doing it for a third? I will miss shouting at you all and chucking all sorts in your pints🍻 but have full faith in mine and yaz’s predecessors as I hope holly and mills will put their faith in me💚.
There are many things I would love to bring to the role of captain but feel particularly passionate about a few:
1. Regaining chips at the view🍟🍟
2. I cannot state my other points on here for obvious reasons boooooooo
All jokes aside, I would absolutely love to be your captain next year and feel that I have a lot to give back to the club that has shaped my entire university experience. I may be known as the jokey and unscary social sec, but I know how to turn Karen mode on when booking venues or ensuring we get our free sours on a Wednesday night which I see as invaluable experience for dealing with bucs, weetwood or opposing teams. As you’ve all seen in my role as social sec (did i mention I’m social sec🧐), I like to open my mouth, whether this be in organising boat races⛵️ or telling gobby fresh (Lottie Franey) to keep the yapping to a minimum🤬. I see this attribute being vital to a captain whether that’s shouting at Rosie on the pitch to not swipe or frantically yelling at you all to take out your glass contact lenses before a game👓. I also think that I have a lot of lax experience which I would love to bring to the role of first team captain🥍🥍, planning training and match days specific to beating Beckett by at least 40 goals or securing our place in playoffs once again.
I am running against some extremely talented lax players (did you know that lulu plays for scotland?🏴) but I think this healthy competition shows the depth of talent that we have at leeds lacrosse💚. My lax-filled summer means I will not spend a day away from my stick and will hit the ground running in September for my third and definitely not final year at leeds lacrosse🏅🏅
Lotz of love xxxx
