Hello my fellow live love laxers 🥍 my name is Mia and I’m applying for the position of GENERAL SECRETARY.

I am currently a second year studying law 📚but that hasn’t prevented my social and mischief attendance from actually increasing this year - although doubt that was hard… 🫣(thanks to the wonderful work from @lucyevans and @yasminemclennan this year).

I have been playing on the 1st team for 2 years now, which has led to many pint chops due to being DOD numerous times and despite this my pint time remains a solid disappointing time which i’m too embarassed to disclose (50 seconds?) 🤫🤫.

All jokes aside I absolutely love being part of this club it has made my university experience amazing with winning Christie Cup 🏆, beating Durham (once😍😍), winning varsity and just making incredible friends along the way.

Whilst taking over secretary from @elliesaunders will be an extremely difficult task due to the amazing work she has done this past year, I truly believe i have what it takes to take on this role. I am a very organised and dedicated person and with my current 3 lectures a week on my degree I have ample free time to dedicate to being a fabulous secretary 💚.

Whilst I have no experience being part of the committee, I have learnt from my fellow team the time and effort it requires and I believe I will do all it takes to help the club run smoothly alongside my fellow committee 💚💚. I have dedicated my past two years of university life to this incredible society and it would be an absolute pleasure to take on this role 🥍💚

I absolutely love this club and the people in it and I’d love to be your general secretary next year!

To follow on from my Facebook post… I love organisation and I love this club. I would absolutely put all my efforts into being the best gen sec I could be :)
