Hello lovely laxers, my name is Katie and I’ll be applying for the role as one of the ✨ Beginners and Development coaches✨.

I’m a currently a first year studying medicine 🩺 👩‍⚕️ but don’t worry I know where my priorities lie 💚 🥍. I have played lacrosse for about 12 years and I can confirm it’s been the longest and most successful relationship of my life despite stiff competition from the popworld lax corner 🙈.
But seriously I have loved lacrosse so so much this year and would love the opportunity to give back to the club and inspire the next generation of Leeds laxers. 💚 🥍
So, what can I bring to the table? 🥍
🥍experience coaching beginners lacrosse (5 years) so can’t wait to teach the lacrosse newbies 👶 💚
🥍 qualified umpire (4 years) which means planning matches will hopefully be easy peasy🫛
🥍 it would be great to get everyone involved in the Wednesday nights too

My name is Eesha and I have decided to apply for the role
💚🤑Beginners and Development Sec🤑💚
You may be asking your self, ‘Eesha, Can you even play Lacrosse 🥍 !?!???’ If you asked me this back in September I would have replied with great difficulty, yes. However through intensely observing 🕵️‍♀️ 👓 , learning 👩‍🏫 📚, and bonding 🤝 with Sophie, Lulu and Devs over the past year ⏰ 📆 I would say ABSOFU*KINGLUTLY.
As a very silly fr*sh who has made many a mistake whether it’s on pitch, in A&E 🏏💌🌶️, in the back alleys of Hyde Park or
⛪️🙏 👼Popworld 👼🙏⛪️, I have learnt 👩‍🎓 masses from my experience being part of B&D, therefore, I of all people understand what it is to be born 👶 into the big wide world of lax, and only want to help those
🎀wild child enthusiasts 🎀, thrive and
✨find themselves ✨on a hungover Thursday evening at exotic sunny Weetwood ☀️🏝️ and also provide a familiar face to those not
necessarily on a BUCS team.
Here are my credentials:
- Wednesday Attendance 98%, ‘where’s the other 2% Eesha?’ - I had to be well rested for B&D the next day 🛌
- 🍺Chop time?- fast.
- Able to mould a gum shield in 1 attempt, (very helpful)
- passion for a cheeky B&D match so WILL make that happen
- ⏰ 🥍 Cradles per Min ? - 64 give or take
- 👑 🤢TC Champion 🤢👑, had to last more than 5 mins, (that’s what she said.)
While I have big boots 👢 to fill 🪣 , With whoever my Co- Security may be, It is something I believe I can do ☝️effectively , ☝️efficiently and ☝️enthusiastically along side my 9 contact hours a week #IAmOnAnArtDegree👩‍🎨.
All jokes 🤙😝 aside, being part of both LUUWLC and B&D, has been one of the top things I committed myself to In my first year and as a result have met my closest friends through the society. What I love about the club, B&D especially, is that it has been one of the most welcoming communities I have been part of no matter the level you’re at.
I love this club, want to continue being a top bloke, and want to continue this experience for both old and new members next year. 🥍💚☘️🥍🐸🥍🥍🤑

Hey Leeds Lax, I’m Kate D (this years saucy seconds cap with Rosie - yes ultimate frisbee did steal our pitch before our final BUCS game🗿) and I’m applying for Beginners and Development Sec.

In case you didn’t do enough positions and play post mischief 💒get ready to take it to the lax pitch 🥍🏃🏻‍♀️….sticks in hand of course ☝🏼😘 for a fun time 🕺good chat 🤙🏻, and some fresh Weetwood air 🌴☀️

It’s safe to say I live love lax to the max, but don’t get me wrong🫸🏻I also love a good yap. My aim is to get as many people involved with lacrosse as possible by sharing my love for it. With music pumping enough to transport you back to Popworld (DnB during BnD?x)🙇‍♀️, and debriefs ready to be told, B and D will be a time to have fun, have a laugh, and learn how to beat the ops 😤for the many upcoming matches that will be planned.

Whether you’re completely new to lax, an avid Wild Child lover, or just want a chill year playing matches, rest assured even Hockey 5s girls have left their beloved corner in Popworld to learn lax in Devonshire’s back garden. You’ll be in safe hands ❤️❤️
